Chris Anglim is a native of Croagh, County Limerick in the South West of Ireland. He began playing Irish music at the age of seven alongside his two sisters and brother, under the tuition and guidance of Willie Larkin. Throughout the years Chris progressed competing under Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann at county, provincial and national level. At the age of twelve he developed his love for the uilleann pipes (Irish Pipes) and for the bodhran (Irish Drum) at the age of twenty one. After completing his studies at second level, he continued his passion and love for music at a third level degree.
Chris began working with Rhythm of the Dance in 2011 as a musician playing uilleann pipes, tin whistle and bodhran. In 2012 he developed further to the position of Musical Director.He has toured extensively with Rhythm of the Dance to countries such as Russia, China, United States of America, Canada, Israel, Palestine, Azerbaijan, Romania, Ukraine, Kazakhstan The Netherlands, Germany, France, Spain, Greece, Luxembourg, Belgium, and The United Kingdom. He has performed at The Kremlin Palace and Crocus Hall in Moscow to Audiences of 6000 people. He has also performed alongside Dolly Parton in Dollywood Tennessee and at the New Orleans Casino in Las Vegas. He has also performed for the closing Ceremony of the European Games in Azerbaijan. Chris is passionate about bringing the best of live Irish music to the stage and promoting our cultural art forms across the world.
Dane McKiernan Choreographer & Lead Male Dancer. . Dane has been dancing since he was 6 years old. After competing for 8 years, he began touring the world in 2007 with The National Dance Company of Ireland’s ‘Rhythm of the Dance,’ where he performed in the irish dance troupe for two years before moving to ‘Riverdance,’ where he toured worldwide for three years before taking a step away from touring to be part of the modern Irish dance group ‘Prodijig,’ winning Sky’s ‘Got To Dance’ 2012 and touring their show ‘Footstorm’ in Ireland, UK and China.
In 2014 Dane returned to ‘Rhythm of the Dance,’ where he performs the lead role and is now choreographer for the company.
Dane is delighted to be a part of the cast and crew as the choreographer with ‘Rhythm of the Dance.’

Lead Female Dancer
Arlene McVeigh was born and raised in Drogheda, County Louth. She found her passion for dance at the tender age of three. A member of Beldance Academy in Dublin, she danced under the guidance and expertise of Belinda Murphy and Carla Power. Having achieved multiple accolades at regional, national and international level, she became a champion dancer ranking in the top 5 in all major competitions and has won both Dublin and Leinster Championships on numerous occasions.
In 2011 she graduated from the National University of Ireland with a Bachelor’s degree in History and Sociology and has been dancing professionally ever since. In the same year she joined the cast of Rhythm of the Dance and after one year on tour she was offered the principal leading female role. She has toured extensively with Rhythm of the dance. She has danced at The Kremlin Palace and Crocus Hall in Moscow to audiences of 6000 people and at the Great Hall of the People in China to 10,000 people. She also performed alongside Dolly Parton in Dollywood Tennessee and at the New Orleans Casino in Las Vegas. She has also performed for the closing ceremony of the European Games in Azerbaijan. She has taken part in various programmes on National and International television, most notably, BBC’s ‘The Tudors’.
Rhythm of the dance blends the principle forms of Irish dance Step, Set, Old Style Step and Sean-nós re-invented and reworked to enhance the production of Rhythm of the Dance.
Rhythm of the dance dancers are among the most accomplished Irish dancers in the world. Over the years the show has been proud to boast numerous national, international and world champion dancers. Their dedication to the art form of Irish dance is clearly evident on stage during production. With their graceful movement and disciplined control it is often said that “they make it look easy”. What is not evident is the off stage commitment required to reach the panicle of Irish dance demanded of the rhythm of the dance dancers. With the rigours of touring and the endless hours of rehearsals and practice, working and reworking routines the dancers of Rhythm of the Dance form lifelong friendships and get to know intricately know each other’s dance styles and timing. And it is this unique knowledge that enables the dancers and choreography team to deliver the driving rhythmic performance which has been enjoyed live by millions worldwide.
The shows producer, Kieran Cavanagh has for many years been a promoter of international renown and was the recipient of the prestigious CMA award for “International Promoter Of The Year 1995” in Nashville TENN.. His roster of concert successes, too numerous to list in full here include sell out tours with , Kenny Rogers, Willie Nelson, James Brown, Van Morrison, Johnny Cash, Kris Kristofferson, Trisha Yearwood, Mary Chapin Carpenter, the late Tammy Wynette etc and for some twenty two years has promoted sell -out concerts in Ireland for Irelands truly International star Daniel O’Donnell.
Kieran continues to expand his productions, promotions, and agency under the heading KCP. With “Rhythm of the Dance”, Kieran fulfilled a long held ambition in the late ‘90’s to produce a superb dance spectacular. Having invested a vast amount of time and effort into market research he finally came up with the blueprint to create and bring to fruition “Rhythm of the Dance” in 1999 and judging by reaction to the shows continual worldwide touring and 7 million ticket sales, he got the formula just right. KCP book and route tours for International artists on a worldwide basis and Kieran prides himself on his company being one of the very few Irish based companies who undertake and manage tours on a worldwide basis.
