The
show is an inspiring epic reliving the journey of two
celtic clans as they battle their way to freedom. It
illuminates the influence that the Irish Celts had and
still have on Irish society. By combining traditional
and contemporary Irish dance, music and song with the
latest stage technology, this richly costumed show marries
the contemporary with the ancient. It is truly a celebration
of all things Irish. |
| The
Story. |
|
|
For
decades, the celtic clans of Leinster and Ulster were
at war. These once peaceful people, were driven into
battle by their rulers lust for land and power. Following
the last great battle of their time, both rulers stood
no more. With the Emerald Isle left in ruins, two great
celtic warriors now stand to rebuild what is lost. As
the new generation comes to power, with them comes a
glimmer of hope, the hope that one day, the Emerald
Isle shall stand united and peace shall reign over our
lands once more.

Rhythm
Of The Dance |
| |
Frozen
in time, our journey begins. We pick up as two young
celtic warriors, Niamh of Ulster and Eoin of Leinster,
meet to discuss the future of their clans.
This is the first encounter that the two celtic clans
have had since the passing of the old rulers. They beat
the floor in question and answer until all terms are
discussed and an agreement is made. As the beat of the
drum echoes through their hearts, all is still and the
Rhythm of the Dance begins.

Phil
the Fluthers Ball, Elieen Og, Trotting to the Fair.
As the gods of the celts look down from above, they
send three guardians of peace to watch over Naoimh and
Eoin. Their heavenly voices soothe the fieriest of tempers,
keeping evil forces at bay. Back

Leinsters
Lord |
| |
The
ladies of Leinster arise and take to the floor. They
dance with such beauty and grace, they immediately draw
the attention of near by men who join them in dance.
The men beat the sound of an Irish foot to a Spanish
rhythm. They show their strength and fighting ability
through intricate step and win the hearts of the ladies
of Leinster. Back from battle, Eoin soon arrives followed
by the rest of his troupes. They come together in celebration
of new life through music and dance.

Lightning
Strikes |

As
night quickly approaches, a storm brews over head. The
beat of the drum followed by the sweet song of the violin
breaks the sense of tension. Eoin guides his celts away
to safety. As he does so, the musicians play into the
night, wishing them well on their journey.

Day
breaks. Eoin and his men are busy perfecting their skills.
Who knows what dangers lie ahead. If they hope to form
an alliance with Ulster, they must be strong, a force
to be reckoned with.

Mystical
Maiden And
The Warriors Of Ulster |

Pipe
Lament |
| |
A
lone piper plays in the distance. The sound of his pipes
carried on the wind. A mystical maiden hears the piper
and replies to his call. It is a warning, trouble is
near. She quickly summons the warriors of Ulster to
help battle these evil spirits. Through her quick hand
and skilled dance, the spirits finally retreat leaving
the warriors to fight another day. Back

Celtic
Rhythm |
| |
The
guardians of peace see the attack on Ulster. They return
to ensure that the evil spirts are truly gone and the
balance of harmony is again restored.

Medley |
| |
The
Star of County Down, The Kerry Dances.
After the threat to the Kingdom of Ulster, Niamh requests
yet another meeting with Eoin. They have been in regular
contact since their first encounter and through the
dance their relationship moves to higher ground. An
alliance is agreed and as they leave together, Eoin
orders some of his troops to escort them to Ulster,
where they are to defend Niamhs Kingdom.

2 |
|
A
New Dawn |
| |
With
the passing of time, Niamh and Eoin unite as one and
new hope is restored to the people of the Emerald Isle.
In celebration, Niamh along with her ladies, dance gracefully
in jig time. Eoin and his men soon up the tempo and
show their appreciation by dancing a reel for the ladies.
In celebration of their union both clans join and unite
in the festivities.

Medley |
| |
Carrickfergus,
Mary from Dungloe, Molly Malone the guardians
of peace also join the festivities and sing a medley
to mark the occasion. Their voices evoke faith and inspiration
in
all who hear them.

The
Awakening |
| |
With
daybreak comes a new challenge for the celtic warriors.
With news of the alliance spreading quickly, evil forces
from the dark lands
awaken and make their move attacking from the sea. Eoin
leads the first defensive attack followed by Niamh and
her army. Together they are strong enough to send the
enemy fleeing. Eoin regroups and with his men, set sail
to the dark lands to finally rid themselves of this
evil.

The
Session |
| |
As
Irish music permeates the night air, the ladies of Ireland,
feeling safe and secure decide to step it out and celebrate
the magic and energy of the traditional Irish music
being played.
|
|
The
Beat Of The Boudhran |
| |
The
celts encounter yet another evil in this act. With Eoin
and his men away at sea, a dark Lord casts a spell over
Niamhs Kingdom. Through the beat of the bodhran, he
plans to seduce Niamh and take the Kingdom as his own.
As he uses the instrument to battle the dancer, all
who lose to it will fall under his spell. Two of Niamhs
guards try to fight the dark Lord but he is too powerful
so she sends them away to seek aid. Through fast intricate
step dance she battles the dark Lord. His spell is so
strong that Niamh finds herself becoming consumed within
it. She's suddenly reminded of her love for Eoin and
fights to regain control. With one final step, the spell
is broken and the dark lord defeated.

Danny
Boy |
| |
The
guardians of peace sense trouble over the horizon and
return to watch over the land. They sing of a warrior
long past, reminding us of the lives of loved ones lost
through war. Their words echo through the midnight air
and send a chill on the wind.

The
Calm Before The Storm |
| |
Niamh
lies restless. She rises and looks out onto a stormy
sea. In the distance, through storm and rain, Niamh
sees a ship and awakens her ladies. As they rise and
rush to shore, they realise it's one of their ships,
their men are returning. As the waves crash against
the ship, the men, exhausted from battle, fight with
all their might to keep the ship afloat. Through the
storm, far in the distance they can see home. With a
renewed strength and even stronger conviction the Celts
battle the tides to reach their destination where Niamh
and her ladies wait for them, protecting the Emerald
Isle.

Celebrating
The Emerald Isle |

With the troops back safely, and evil defeated the
musicians play on into the small hours of the morning
in celebration of their troops safe return to the Emerald
Isle.

Celtic
Warriors |
| |
As
two Celtic clans unite to become one, they celebrate
the completion of their journey. They have reached their
final destination, they have battled and won against
evil spirits and higher gods. The sheer magic within
the Rhythm of the Dance, has guided them to their final
destination. This, the most precious and mystical of
lands, known as the Emerald Isle, finds peace once more.

The
Journey's End |

With
an unbridled passion powered by the joy of retuning
home the troupe preforms one final set. They lose themselves
completely in the Rhythm of the Dance. Their journey
is complete, their hardships over. They are home, they
are free…. |
